Uruguay forward Darwin Nunez has been banned for five international matches.

The striker was one of many who were involved in an altercation with Colombian players at the Copa America.

Uruguay and Nunez lost their semi-finals to the Colombians, who lost to Argentina in the final.

Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur was banned for four matches, while both players received heavy fines.

Liverpool and Spurs fans were concerned that Nunez and Bentancur could face club bans.

However, CONMEBOL seems to be focusing on international penalty games.

Mathias Olivera, Ronald Araujo and Jose Maria Gimenez received three suspensions.

Meanwhile, Santiago Mele, Matias Vina, Sebastian Caceres, Emiliano Martinez, Facundo Pellistri and Brian Rodriguez were fined.
