Borno state government donates patrol vehicle to CJTF and vigilante groups – The News Chronicle

The Borno State Commissioner for Intelligence and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar, has officially handed over a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck to members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local law enforcement groups in Buratai Sector, located in Biu Local Government Area. (LGA) of Borno State on Wednesday.

The move is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to improve security operations in the region.

The presentation of the patrol vehicle was made possible by the approval of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, who is committed to improving the security situation in Borno State.

The patrol vehicle will support the operations of the CJTF and law enforcement groups as they work to maintain peace and security in the Buratai neighborhood and surrounding areas.

At the handover ceremony, the Commissioner presented the vehicle to the Chairman of the Biu Local Government Authority who was represented by his Personal Assistant, Abdullahi Umar.

The commissioner encouraged the local government to continue to support the CJTF and members of the judiciary in their efforts to protect the community.

He also called on the security groups to remain dedicated to their duties and strive for the restoration of peace and harmony in their areas of operation.

Commander Mamman, the Buratai District CJTF leader, expressed gratitude to the Borno State Government for the timely provision of the patrol vehicle.

He promised that security outfits in Buratai will do their best to discharge their responsibilities effectively.

Commander Mamman also offered prayers for the restoration of peace, not only in Borno State but in the entire nation.

The handover ceremony was attended by several key officials including Modu Alhaji Mustapha, the permanent secretary of the ministry, and Babagana Mustapha, the director of administration and supply.

The event highlighted the commitment of the state government to enhance local security and support the efforts of grassroots security outfits in their critical role of maintaining law and order in the region.
