One was injured after a car crashed into a Panera Bread in Denver

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after crashing into a Panera Bread in Greenwood Village on Thursday.

South Metro Fire Rescue and the Greenwood Village Police Department responded to the fast-casual bakery at 5910 S. Holly St. after a vehicle crashed into the building, fire officials said in a post on X.

Photos of the accident show damage to the building’s windows and brick exterior. South Metro officials determined that the accident did not affect the structural integrity of the building.

South Metro officials initially reported that no one was injured in the crash, but the driver was evaluated at the scene and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Update: No loss of structural integrity of the building. After further evaluation, the driver was transported with minor injuries. The building will be handed over to the building inspector. pic.twitter.com/44irh5Y4v8
