OMEN Transcend 14 is the latest gaming laptop from HP. It’s also their lightest gaming laptop, weighing just 3.6 pounds and measuring 0.71 inches thin. It has better build quality than the standard OMEN; while the OMEN is built mostly from plastic, the Transcend is built with a sturdier aluminum chassis. This particular configuration has a 14-inch 2880×1800 OLED screen, Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The new 15th generation Intel Meteor Lake processors have been renamed the “Core Ultra” series, and the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor is the top model. It boasts a Max Turbo frequency of 5.1GHz with 16 cores, 22 threads and a 24MB cache. This processor is the successor to the Core i9 processor, with a focus on lower power consumption and operating temperatures.

Note that OMEN Transcend’s RTX 4070 has a maximum TGP of 80W, which is lower than the highest TGP of 115W you’ll find on the most powerful RTX 4070 gaming laptops.
