DEWITT, Iowa (KWQC) – A former DeWitt Central High School teacher was arrested Wednesday after police threatened to blow up a food trailer and wing of a DeWitt school.

Alisa Sage, 29, is charged with making a threat with an explosive or incendiary device, a Class D felony.

Clinton County court records show a judge set his bond at $5,000 cash only. Sage has a preliminary hearing on August 30.

According to an arrest affidavit:

On Monday, DeWitt police became aware of the messages Sage sent to a sheriff’s deputy.

The first message read “22th Thur Blow up food trailer/CTE wing” followed by “22th-30th Thur-Fr me ‘running’ from Travis, Jake and 3 pigs (ask Schwartz).”

The high school resource officer knew that Sage had made an effort to get the food truck for the school.

The officer also knew Sage previously worked in the school’s CTE wing, according to the affidavit.

Sage was charged earlier this month in Scott County in connection with a police pursuit.

It will be arranged in this case on August 29.
