Wichita police are investigating a fatal crash

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A motorcyclist was found dead Sunday morning in northwest Wichita after being hit by another vehicle that fled the scene, according to the Wichita Police Department.

WPD said that just after 2 a.m., officers responded to a crash near 2400 N. Hoover Road near W. Zoo Blvd. When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man on a motorcycle, who later was pronounced dead by EMS.

WPD said the victim was driving north on Hoover when she was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene northbound before officers arrived.

WPD is still looking for the driver. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111. Tips can remain anonymous.
