Semi-final scenarios

Defeating Fargo is the first step. That would move the two tied at 1-2. The team also needs help as they are inactive on Sunday. Texas Post 554 faces Alabama Post 70 – the last two champions – in the final pool game at 7:00 PM Sunday night. If Texas beats Alabama, it will clinch first place in the Stars division and a matchup with the No. 2 of Stripes in semi-finals.

This would also create a three-way tie for second place with the other three teams at 1-2. The first tie is the fewest points allowed overall. Post 100 has given up 14 points in its first two games, while North Dakota has allowed 11. Alabama is in pole position with five.

But if Hudson can shut out North Dakota and Texas hangs a crooked number on Alabama, that leaves the door open.

Post 100 must mind its own business first.

starting pitchers

Hudson will pitch Connor Madden, who pitched six innings in the regional and didn’t give up an earned run. He allowed eight hits with two strikeouts and one walk.

Bo Meier pitches for Fargo. He had a 4.05 earned run average at the Central Plains Regional. He walked eight against five hits and allowed six hits in 6 2/3 innings.
