This Tacoma fitness center, moving to a new location, is offering a grand opening special

Studio MixxedFit has a new location in the heart of Tacoma starting August 1st.

Studio MixxedFit, a boutique fitness center, announced via Instagram that it would be moving in early August after failing to renew its lease at its original location at 3019-B 6th Ave.

“We were unable to renew our lease and will be moving to a larger space in Downtown Tacoma at: 1126 Commerce Street, Suite 2, Tacoma, WA effective August 1, 2024,” the Instagram post read. “The new location is only 2 miles away and offers more space, easy freeway access, increased safety, more parking options, and more flexibility in our schedule and class times.”

The fitness studio offers a wide range of fitness classes, including fitness dance classes and strength/HIIT classes. According to the studio’s website, its mission is to “always bring people together through fitness while serving our communities.”

Along with improving accessibility to the studio and adding more classes. Studio MixxedFit is offering a special opening that reduces the price of the annual unlimited subscription from $499 to $99. The special offer includes access to all group classes offered in the studio, but is only available to the first 100 people who sign up.

“We’re really excited to be a part of the downtown community — it’s really cool to be here,” Studio MixxedFit chief operating officer Tilesa Swehla said in an interview. “We’ve had more people come out to try the free course and we’ve had so much support from downtown Tacoma and it’s so exciting.”

People interested in taking a course before signing up for a membership can do so for free by registering online.

The studio offers several morning and evening classes almost every day of the week. A full course schedule can be found on its website. The studio is open Monday to Friday from 18:30 to 21:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 08:00 to 10:00
