Parsons Police Department to close Monday for electrical installation – Newstalk KZRG

The Parsons Police Department will undergo major electrical work on Monday, August 12, 2024 as part of the installation of a new transfer switch for its emergency generator system.

This critical upgrade, by TTT Electric, will require the department to be without power for up to six hours.

• Date: Monday, August 12, 2024
• Time: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Close: The Police Department will be closed to all entrance and lobby activities during this time.

While the police department building will be closed, officers will continue to respond to calls as usual.

All emergency and non-emergency dispatches will be handled by Labette County 911.

“We understand this may cause some inconvenience,” the Department posted on Facebook, “and appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve our emergency response capabilities.”
