Tropical Storm Debby closes a dozen boat landings in Horry County, officials say

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WBTW) — A dozen boat landings in Horry County remain closed to public use as of Saturday morning due to flooding and hazardous conditions left behind by Tropical Storm Debby, sad officials said.

The Horry County Police Department and officials from the public works and parks and recreation departments conduct safety checks at all landings.

The following locations are closed:

  • Chris Anderson Landing

  • Causey Landing

  • Ricefield Cove Landing

  • Sandy Bluff Landing

  • Hug landing

  • Gunters Lake Landing

  • Hughes Landing

  • Reaves Ferry Landing

  • Punch Bowl Landing

Officials said the closures will be updated as water levels change. Count on News13 for updates.
