Amigos stores will host health fairs with free screenings on Saturday

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Amigos Grocery Stores of the Panhandle will host free health fairs for guests on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Health fairs will offer free screenings, including glucose tests, cholesterol screenings and blood pressure checks.

The following locations will host a health fair:

• Amigos- Amarillo, 3300 I-40 East
• Amigos- Hereford, 520 N. 25 Mile Ave.
• Amigos- Plainview, 2403 N. Columbia Ave.
• Amigos- Lubbock, 112 N. University

According to Amigos, pharmacy teams will be prepared to administer school immunizations for ages 14 and up. Costs will vary by insurance.

In addition to screenings and immunizations, the health and wellness teams at Amigos will offer shopping guides for diabetes and heart health. The teams will also offer advice for other wellness goals.

Amigos representatives say each location will host community partners to provide additional information about local health services.
