Crews searching for a missing person in Lake Michigan from Foster Beach, Chicago police said

CHICAGO (WLS) — Crews are searching for a person who went missing in Lake Michigan on a North Side beach Sunday night, Chicago police said.

Police confirmed just after 8:30 p.m. that the CPD Marine Unit was on the scene at Foster Beach. It’s close to the city’s Edgewater neighborhood.

Crews are searching for a person, identified only as a man, who allegedly went into the water and did not surface, police said.

Police did not say when the person went missing in the water or provide additional information about what led to his disappearance.
