There are several factors that have contributed to making the opening credits for Friends one of the best in the business, as it provides a perfect insight into what fans can expect from the sitcom. But while the opening sequence itself is upbeat, involving the iconic well scene that sees the entire cast jumping into the well at midnight, it wasn’t too cheery for the cast.

If it wasn’t for the late, great Matthew Perry, the fountain scene would have been a disaster as filming was miserable for the entire cast.
