A new tool installed in the park to provide life-saving measures

PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) – A new tool in downtown Paragould aims to provide life-saving measures in an emergency.

An automated external defibrillator, or AED, was recently installed at the Community Pavilion in Power Plant Park on East Court Street.

Miranda Reynolds, executive director for Main Street Paragould, said the pavilion sees thousands of people, and having the device on hand will help them feel safer.

“I immediately thought that an AED would be a perfect fit for the community pavilion, not only to help us in an emergency, but of course to help save a life if needed,” said Miranda Reynolds, director executive of Main St Paragould.

Reynolds says the DEA is self-explanatory and the instructions are simple to understand.
