Sharon (Hronek) Marcotte Obituary – Salina Journal

Sharon (Hronek) Marcotte, 85, died Thursday, May 30, 2024. Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Magdalen Catholic Church Church in Wichita, KS.

She graduated from Salina High School Class of 1956 and Marymount College in 1959. She completed an internship in medical laboratory technology at St. Mary in Kansas City in 1961 and worked for many years as a registered MT, including at Via Christi in Wichita.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad “Connie” Marcotte; sons, Paul, Edward and Joseph; parents, Edward and Zita “Faith” Cassell-Hronek; brother, Ardell Hronek.

Survived by her sons, Mark of Wichita, Brian of Mandeville, LA, Bret (Stacey) of Wichita; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Cletia) Hronek of Pleasant Hill, MO; and sister-in-law Carla Hronek of Olathe, KS.
