Here's what you need to know about Raleigh's Fourth of July at Dix Park

This family-friendly event will feature music, games, food and North Carolina’s best fireworks display.

RALEIGH, NC (WTVD) — The Raleigh 4th of July Fireworks returns to Dix Park for the third year in a row. The City of Raleigh and ABC11 are partnering once again for North Carolina’s most spectacular Independence Day fireworks display.

Mark your calendar now to be there on Thursday, July 4th for this unforgettable day of family fun to mark America’s birthday. If you thought last year was awesome, 2024 will be a next-level experience.

In addition to our live news coverage, ABC11 will once again bring you the main event live starting at 9 p.m. as we count down to the snap, crackle and pop of North Carolina’s best Independence Day fireworks display, at 21:30.

The range includes

  • Extended area for Food Truck
  • Interactive entertainment scene
  • 9:30 PM – July 4th Fireworks Celebration Begins – Watch Live on ABC11

Parking and shuttles

  • Gates open and activities begin at 6:00 p.m
  • Free event parking is available at the downtown and NC State Centennial Campus parking lots.
  • No parking will be permitted on the Dix Park campus.
  • Beginning at 5:30 p.m., free shuttles will run from Moore Square Park to and from Dix ​​Park.
  • The final shuttle leaves Moore Square to drop off at Dix Park at 9:00 p.m

Other options

  • A family departure lot and shared transportation
  • Bike blocks on the greenway
  • ADA parking with circulating shuttles

What is allowed

  • Community members are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, small coolers, strollers and wagons.
  • Although attendees are encouraged to purchase from the more than 40 food trucks, food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.
