Joel Barnecut Obituary – CA

Joel Vinton Barnecut Joel Vinton Barnecut, son of Ray and Betty Barnecut, formerly of Long Beach, died Jan. 9 in a Long Beach hospital of hepatitis C with complications of diabetes. His family was with him.

Joel was born 01/22/57 in Tacoma, WA and attended Lowell School before moving to Anaheim in 1967. He attended junior high and high schools in Anaheim, then returned to Washington in 1976 where he worked as an electrician in the Tacoma and later in Moses Lake, WA. In 2007, he moved to Long Beach.

Joel was a talented electrician and innovative craftsman who loved the natural world, loved camping, walks on the beach and working in his garden.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Breanna Barnecut; granddaughter, Cameron; his parents and sisters, Jamie Madden, Sarah Godsey and Betsy O’Hanlon.
