Greenfield Recorder – Bulletin Board: GTA hosts 2024 Greenfield Clay Courts Conservation/Benefit tournament on Saturday

The Greenfield Tennis Association is hosting the 2024 Clay Court Preservation/Benefit Tournament on Saturday, with all proceeds going toward clay court maintenance.

Men, women, juniors and seniors of all levels are welcome. Participants will enter as a singles player, with your doubles partner chosen randomly, and they will change each round.

Team and field assignments begin at 9:15 a.m. and play begins shortly after 9:30 a.m. Entry fee is $10 for GTA members and $15 for non-members. Any questions can be directed to Larry Klein at 413-824-8129.

Pipione’s Sport Shop 5, TFAC 1 — Jaxon Yates singled, tripled and drove in two, Liam Kerivan and Spencer Towne combined for 14 strikeouts, while Connor Bartlett threw a pair behind the plate in Pipione’s Monday playoff win .

Hunter Kelley pitched and hit safely while Tyreek Rivera pitched for TFAC.

Rotary Club 16, Pioneer Valley Tire 9 — Blake Miner had two hits and five RBI, while Nick Cottrill, Emerson Maxam and Carson White each hit safely in Monday’s Rotary win.

Owen Castine hit a three-run double, while Paxton Gibson and Gabe Tidlund each scored twice for Pioneer Valley Tire.

Liberty Tax 10, Bobby C’s 6 — Phineas Brown and Elijah Lawler each had an RBI double, while Harlon Hickey pitched in the Liberty Tax win on Sunday.

Braith Brothers pitched while Theo Schulte played well at catcher in the loss.

New Fortune 13, Aubuchon Hardware 12 — Darick Chaisson and Collin Winslow both had two hits, while Jason Philstetler hit safely in New Fortune’s win on Saturday.

Elias Tripp tripled and hit two singles, while Willie Web-Halpern had two hits for Aubuchon.

Pipione’s Sport Shop 11, Camelot Carpet Cleaners 6 — Ava Martin hit safely, Ayla Doherty recorded two hits, while Penelope Gioules pitched well in Pipione’s win on Monday.

Charley Deane, Layla Bailey and Reaghan Bernard hit safely for Camelot.
