Tributes to Kory McCrimmon after Glasgow teenager lost his life in park disturbance

Tributes have been paid to a Glasgow teenager who lost his life following an incident in an east end park on Friday (May 31).

Emergency services rushed to Greenfield Park in Eskbank Street at around 8.15pm. They found Kory McCrimmon with serious injuries from the incident and he was blue-lighted to the hospital.



The 16-year-old remained in a critical condition for two days before dying yesterday afternoon (June 2).

Following the incident, a 13-year-old boy was transported to the hospital. He was later arrested and charged in connection with the disorder.

Many have flocked to social media to pay tribute to Kory McCrimmon following his tragic death.

One person wrote: “Such a cruel world we live in RIP young thinking of the family at this sad time.”

Another added: ‘Rip Kory McCrimmon thinking of all your family. I went to school with one of my boys, such a cruel world we live in.’

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the 13-year-old is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (June 3)
