Counting began in 24 district headquarters at 6 am amid heavy rains across the state and the final results are expected to be out by noon, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Pawan Kumar Sain said.

Today marks the key moment for 133 candidates from Arunachal Pradesh as the fate sealed under the MEV will be revealed by the counting of votes cast in the 50 assembly seat elections.

Starting at 6am on Sunday, under tight security, the vote counting process anticipates the final results to be revealed by noon. Both assembly and Lok Sabha elections were held simultaneously in Arunachal Pradesh in the initial phase on 19 April.
