More than 80 local artists showcase their work at Riverfest

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Riverfest is officially in full swing with approximately 70 events and activities happening throughout the week. One of the most colorful of these events is an art pop-up.

Riverfest’s Artfest Pop-Up Market is an opportunity to support over 80 local artists and celebrate Wichita through art, design and shopping.

Artists at the event said they are excited to share their artwork with the Wichita community.

“It was really cool to be noticed and recognized,” said James Williams, an artist who creates hand-painted mandalas with his wife. “For a long time, all of our art will sit at home, and it is in the markets that we truly recognize that all of our efforts have come to fruition and that they are worth the time, effort, love that we put into our art. .”

The Artfest Pop-Up Market runs Saturday and Sunday in the Exhibition Hall at the Century II Performing Arts Center.
