Authorities are responding to a house fire in South Salt Lake City that broke out Saturday afternoon at 2645 S. 400 E. (KSL TV)

SALT LAKE CITY — A house fire broke out Saturday afternoon at 2645 S. 400 E., South Salt Lake City.

One occupant of the home was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene, but police say everyone else appears to be unharmed from the fire. A dog has been confirmed to have died in the fire.

Firefighters say that when the units arrived, there was smoke coming from the attic. The units managed to contain the fire in 20 minutes.
